The Soda Hat and Lego Jack-O-lantern

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I have been very busy. Anyway, we traveled to the Rockville today and I picked up a brand new hard hat. So I made a soda drinking hat out of it. The holders are removable, so I can use it as a hard hat as well. Multipurpose is always great.

Oh the things that show up on our porch…

This little frog seems to have it figured out that flies like our screen/glass door because light comes through. He has been back for the past couple of nights too. Oh, and that is a fly hanging out of his mouth.

Your Very Own Personal Hovercraft!

I saw the hovercrafts Jamie and Adam made on Mythbusters, and decided that that would be one of the coolest things I would make so far. So we went to Rockville (the local junk shop) and found a 4X8 piece of wooden panneling for $3. I had everything else. So this entire hovercraft project cost me only $3. The other parts are kind of thick plastic sheets, a leaf blower, staples, a random bolt or two, and lots of duct tape. It works pretty darn well. You can see the videos here.

The Amazing Floating Bookshelf!

With about an hour of work, some sweat, and a pile of drywall dust on my bed and nightstand, the amazing floating bookshelf was born!

P.S I got a camera!! Before I was taking pictures with my phone.

Smoke Dissipater

I made this to suck up all the smoke made from my soldering iron. It works well and sucks all the smoke up as you can see in the video.

The Battle of the Bird Feeders

UPDATE:My homemade bird feeder has won! The squirrels have chewed right through the top of dad's feeder. I had to enlarge the feeders on mine, but eventually mine emerged victorious.

These are the two "squirrel-proof" bird feeders. One comercial, the other homemade.

In this corner, the comercial feeder!

In this corner, the homemade feeder!

We just put them up, but I will let you know who wins The Battle of the Bird Feeders!

Saxophone Stand

I needed a stand for my saxophone, but they are like $20. So I used scraps of PVC to make my own. In the second picture it is painted. It looks way better like that.

Magna-Light

I made this because my workbench is always too dark. The entire thing is not much bigger than the nine volt battery that powers it. Despite its size, it is really bright.
